Day 01: Port Said/ Pyramids Tour:
Horus Egypt tours Representative will pick you up
from Port Said port (by the exit door) holding a sign
of your name. Then drive to Cairo, approximately 3
hours, joining a police convoy, upon your Arrive to
Cairo start your day visiting the Pyramids of Cheops,
Chefren and Mykerine. Then proceed to visit the
great sphinx , the head of a pharaoh with a lion’s body,
which dates back to the time of Chephren, have lunch
at quality local restaurant
Continue driving to visit the Step pyramids of loser,
the world’s oldest major stone structure. It was built
in the third dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser;
time for shopping will be available at governmental
shops and stores, Overnight in Cairo
Day 02: Egyptian Museum / Salah Din Citadel/ Port Said:
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel, and then drive to
have an excursion to the Egyptian Museum , which
features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The
museum displays a rare collection of 6000 years of
art, which are considered the largest most precious
collection of Egyptian artifacts in the world. Over
120,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including
an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of
treasures, gold and jewelry, which were enclosed in
his tomb for over 3,500 years before its discovery in
the 1922 when his tomb was excavated
Have lunch at quality local restaurant in Cairo. Then
drive to Salah el din Citadel and the Alabaster mosque
of Mohamed Ali which was designed by the architect
Yousef Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially
from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed
Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849). Then driving to the
area of Islamic Cairo (If there is enough time), where
you will Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar. Heading
back to the port.
